I'm a guitar player who bought this bass back in 1982 or '83 at Manny's Music in NYC, and have used it exceedingly sparingly since. It's in excellent condition, 100% original with no mods or replacement parts, plays and sounds great (to this guitar player's ears, lol!), and is too cool to just sit in my closet any longer.

The pot codes are 1966 and 1967, and the neck plate dates to '66-'67 according to the Fender website, and the neck reads May 1969. Adjusted the strings and fret buzz is gone and action is nice and happy again.

The pickups and electronics are 100%, the neck is straight with really nice action, frets have only minor wear if you can believe it, and its really easy to play. The body is in great shape with minor scuffs and dings, mainly around the edge, that are hard to see from more than a few feet away. The finish is basically unfaded. There is one ding on the back of the neck (pictured) that is very shallow and in no way affects the integrity of the neck.

Includes original case, which is in pretty good shape on the inside, but really banged up on the outside, and the locks don't work and latch is broken. Hey its only the case, consider it a shipping container.

This is my first post on Talkbass because I'm not a bass player, but I have hundreds of posts and dozens of deals over at The Gear Page and 100% rating on ebay, both as geodr, so you can absolutely buy with confidence.

It would be nice to know the sale price as a reference for future buyers and sellers of late 60's Fender Mustangs.
