    What’s original:

    • 1971 Fender Precision Bass Body
    • 1971 original P pickup, bridge and tuners (4 tuners). Original neck plate.
    What’s NOT original:

    • All parts neck, hipshot detuner, reissue pickguard.
    • Lindy Fralin split coil jazz bridge pickup.
    • CTS pots, volume, volume, tone. Switchcraft input jack.
    • Weight: 9.7 pounds
Body was originally routed to be a J/P/J configuration. So there’s a routing for a Jazz pickup underneath the pickguard.

As you can see the body sports considerable honest wear. There is a small crack which I had looked at by my repair guy and it is solid, nothing major but I’m disclosing it. No case or bag.

This bass used to belong to Papito Hernández, and he made the modifications himself. He played and recorded with Herb Alpert, Paul Anka, and Diana Ross among many others. Here’s a video where you can see and hear the bass on minute 0:17 and 2:40.

$1100 shipping and paypal included. Firm price, no trades.

    • Rosewood fingerboard with white inlay dots
    • 10" radius
    • Nut width 1-5/8"

Unless otherwise noted, all necks are made of the highest quality wood in either the United States or Japan. No two necks are exactly the same and may differ slightly from what is pictured. All necks have a Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty does not cover normal fret wear or customer modifications. Unless otherwise noted, this neck is licensed to Allparts Music Corporation by Fender® Musical Instruments under a quality control trademark license. Allparts Music Corporation is not affiliated with Fender® and no Fender® warranty applies.

All necks may require fret leveling and polish, and may need to be fine tune to fit your instrument. This is normal and not a defect. All necks should be carefully inspected prior to installation and/or modification. All wood is unique with individual growth patters. Allparts cannot warranty a neck that does not get a sealer/finish put on it, as humidity, sweat, and temperature can cause the neck to warp and twist.
