1972 Fender Jazz

  1. I picked up this Fender Jazz from the original owner last summer and have been using it for my sporadic blues gig. Let me start by saying I have owned lots of basses over the years (check my profile) and this one is definately a winner! I have to part with it at this point in order to put together a project studio and my Sadowsky is getting all the time in my other projects.

Anyways, here are the specifics. Everything is original unless otherwise noted:
    • Nicely checked, mojoed body without being trashed.
    • Frets have been leveled and filed several times over its life and thus are pretty low. The action is low and playable, but those who play hard will need to have a refret done.
    • One pot has been replaced and it looks like the electronics have been rewired
    • The original owner says the pickups are oiriginal, but I cant tell for sure. Assume they arent, but they are very old looking...
    • The neck date stamp is worn off, the pots date to 72 and the serial number on the neck plate does as well.
    • chrome covers are included
    • 9.5 lbs on my bathroom scale
    • No case, but will ship with a gig bage

Asking $1600 shipped for this gem! Paypal preferred, NO TRADES please!
