Up for trade is a 1972 Fender Precision Bass. Bass has been played heavily throughout its life as you can see. It’s road worn the old fashion way! Bass is mostly original; the nut was replaced with a brass one and the pots have been changed. The original CTS pots are in the case. One of the knobs is also non original but the original one is also in the case, just stripped out. The neck is stamped 1971 and the pick guard is stamped from 1972 and the pickups are also 1972. I’m guessing it’s an early 72. The serial on the neck plate is saying 1973 but the previous owner said that he swapped a 73 rosewood neck on here at one point and used that neck plate from that bass. When he swapped them back a few years later he didn’t swap the neck plate. If seriously interested I can purchase an age appropriate neck plate, it just never bothered me to do so. Bass has a straight neck and plays awesome! Interested in trades of a Lakland or Sadowsky nature. Other traditional style style basses I may be interested in. Feel free to shoot your offers my way.
