Thought I had this one sold, but the buyer had to back out for financial reasons. This is a 1974 Fender Jazz Bass. Everything is original down to the solder joints. Pots date to 38th week of 74, last digits of the pickup stamps are 74, SN dates to late 1974 as well. This was one of the last 4-bolts before the design switched to the 3-bolts of '75 It plays and sounds great, which is why as you can see in the pictures, this bass has been well played, but certainly not abused. The original Olympic White is now the standard faded yellow color. As you'll see in the areas where there is wear, the white filler and primer undercoat shows through. NO ROUTING or MODS of any sort. Weighs just under 9lbs 2oz on the bathroom scale. Take a look at the pics. They tell the whole story. No checking but a few tiny hairline finish cracks. Original case, strap, pickup and bridge covers. It doesn’t get much better than this. I'm playing upright almost exclusively these days so am selling a few of my vintage Fenders. Looking to get $2600 Paypal, Shipped & Insured to the lower 48. Price would be adjusted accordingly for local Los Angeles sale. Feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking!!
I received a question about the condition of the truss rod anchor and if there was any issues around the nut/1st fret area. Here's a picture that I actually took to show the fret condition but it also shows ZERO issues with cracking of the wood or inlay at the first fret. The truss rod adjusted just fine when I set this bass up and it currently has the correct relief for a med/low action.
