SOLD 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 MapleGlo

Classic Rick sound. It has been modified with an original BadAss bridge, professionally installed and completely stable, and keeps the action very low and fast. The limiting cap has been removed (the "Squire mod") giving the bass much more bottom end. Input jack was recently replaced, so no pops or buzzes. Original Grover tuners. There are some dings in the body and a little buckle rash on the back, nothing major (or out of the ordinary for a bass of this age). The neck is straight as an arrow, frets are in very good shape and the truss rods are working perfectly.

In other words, this is a player's bass, not a museum piece. It's a great instrument, and has been very well cared-for. Currently strung with D'Addario half-rounds. Comes with OHSC and a set of RotoSound flats.

And yes, this bass has the red dots on the neck binding...
