1975 Fender Precision with the coveted and rare "A" neck option (1.50 Jazz-width nut). This bass is in very good 100% original condition, and includes shipping in the original hardshell case. This bass is a player and never was in my stable as a "collector" piece, so there is some wear. This bass is only second to my 1963 Precision (check some of my postings and you'll see this bass on stage with me.) - Ash body with beautiful grain pattern, classic 3-tone sunburst finish, black/white/black pickguard - Maple neck and fingerboard, 1.50 inch measured nut width - Neck is straight, truss rod works fine, action is low, frets show no visible wear - Back of neck is smooth and fast - All-original hardware, including pickup and bridge covers - Lightweight at ~8.5 lbs with covers on - 1975 dating based on 64xxxx serial number, and potentiometer code 1377514 (137 - CTS; 75 - 1975) - All original electronics work fine, including pickup, potentiometers, and output jack - Pickup output is strong, tone is deep, warm, with vintage low-mid punch and smooth highs (not brittle) - A few minor blemishes, dings, checking and scratches, some of the finish is worn off the lower edge of the fret board and there is a small wear area worn through the finish just above the front strap pin (natural wear from a guitar strap not from abuse!) - Currently strung with TI flats and the action is what I consider low - Original Fender hardshell case with blue lining in well used condition, but all hinges and latches work fine Shipped anywhere in the lower 48 and Paypal is fine. No trades but as always price is negotiable within reason.
