    SOLD!

On the block is a '76 Ric 4001 in great overall condition for a piece of such vintage. It plays beautifully, sounds bitchin' and has aged gracefully with a slight cream/yellowing of the white binding. The neck is stable, frets show only slight wear and all components, electronic and mechanical, are in perfect working order. In fact, it has seen minimal play time since I've had it. One small issue is that I installed Dunlop strap locks and am unable to remove them. It appears the screw heads are stripped. I'm sure the more inclined types can extract them quite easily and put in the originals. I'm not feeling so bold...

Since purchasing, I installed a Pickguardian pick-up surround and cover on the bridge pick-up. Both are currently on the bass and will be included along with the original surround, cover and case. No modifications to the bass are needed to install these.

Although I think this bass is worth more, I am asking exactly what I paid- $1500- shipped to the 48 states via Paypal or a USPS MO. I think the price is beyond reasonable when compared to retail prices I've seen of late. Lowballers, don't bother.

Trades? Perhaps, for the right Spector in a P/J configuration. It must at least be a Euro model with crown inlays and in great condition with a case. Spectors are the only thing I am looking for. And, if it is a Euro model, I would ask that a bit of cash be included to balance market prices for used equipment.

Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks.
