{} Circa summer 1978 Koa shorthorn Mockingbird bass. Excellent condition. Restored by former BCR employee Neal Moser and crew. Truss rod was replaced with newer 2 way rod, Neal redid the circuit , new Dimarzio DP122 pick ups, new clear coat, bass looks, plays and sounds like new, very minor if any wear and tear, expensive restoration , I have a chance to purchase a former BCR bass I once owned, original hard shell case in very good condition included {}
Its very nice...Neal Moser refurbed this bass for me when he was still living in SoCal...it use to be mine....I might have to get it back...
Neck profile is somewhere between a C and a U in my opinion, very nice feeling neck, my scale broke but it is on the lighter side for a BCR bass, it's pretty comparable with my quilt maple Mock which is 9.1lbs. {}
I feel like my price is very fair, the work done on it cost over $1500 , a twin to this sold back in November for $3400 and went to it's new home in Australia (I know the owner) {}
Most vintage BC rich basses play VERY WELL. This one has the right electronics as well. I hope it sells if not hit up Brian at the Lowend he used to have a thing for these.
thanks for the tip, I really like this one and will most likely be taking it off the market soon, I have a 70's shorthorn Mock in maple with a purple burst finish I'll put up in it's place ............
Leaning towards keeping this one although I am considering an offer on it, got it weighed today, 9.2lbs
I can’t sfford this which hurts in ways no one can ever know as this is quite literally my holy grail bass (I’m a diehard Mock player) GLWTS
