Can't believe someone bid on that... it would have to be refinished anyway, because it's in terrible condition, getting rid of any vintage value this bass once had.:rollno: :crying:

Hell, I can't even tell if the neck is dirty maple or worn out rosewood :D

Heh.. i would have taken it actually, but that is only becouse i want a 70's jazz bass body for a future "Geddy Lee" project :p the neck looks fairly dead.. or it would just need a proper cleaning.

Look how far the truss rod is poking out at the headstock. Does it have any further to go?

  10. Yikes.

  11. Oh man :smug: , I wish I could see that bass!

    Sadly, I'm on a self-imposed, 6 week ban from ebay :( .

Quick, somebody post me a piccy :D ...

Doesn't look all that bad to me - body is decent bit of wood and a refinish is certainly in order. The truss rod looks fine - that is about how far the bullets sticks out of the neck normally. Might be a nice project

    What a beauty!

  16. Thanks for that, Herrlster :smug: ! Made my day there.

I might have bid on it :meh: , except that it appears to be supplied without the original pickups, whereas I was hoping to find one that comes without Seymour Duncan pickups ;) .
