1978 fretless P bass. All matching serials (pickguard, headstock), original pots, pickups, hardware, etc, neck date code is faded but appears to read for february 78 production. One piece maple neck with skunk stripe. Case is possibly original, late 70s/early 80s style molded case, covered in stickers but in working condition condition.

$1400/bo plus shipping. . Willing to entertain partial trade offers, i like tube amps/DIs, fender/Gibson guitars, etc.

[DEL]1978 Gibson G3, black body, maple board, replacement tortoise shell pickguard, replacement switch, original pickups, pots, case. Plays great, has that signature zingy G3 tone. Cuts through a mix like no other.

    $700 plus shipping. [/DEL]

    G3 sold.

Selling to fund some cat surgery so I'll take offers but can only go so low.

Quick video of the P in action. Just a quick run through on my B15, controls at noon on the amp, tone all the way up on the bass, then all the way down. Bass is sporting some LaBella flats at the moment but I also have a set of chromes in the case that were on this bass before.

    Thanks!

Can't take trades on these guys, if I'm going to let them go it's got to be for cash.

Also wanted to note that the video of the fretless is obviously very poor quality and sounds very thin compared to being there. If anyone wants a better quality recording of how either sounds that can be done.

    Side dots:

    ouNDt3m.

Tried to capture some images of the wear on this, mostly just superficial cracks/mark sin the poly. One chip through the finish on the lower waist curve, some rubbing from a strap which should come off though I haven't tried. Or it could be foam from my guitar stand, now that I think about it.

I understand the sentiment. Gotten a few messages to the same effect. I could probably consider partial trade offers, something that would net me at least $5-700 after shipping, etc, but with the other instruments and amps I have I've got my bases pretty well covered so I'd have a pretty specific list of things I'd trade for (tube DI, newer/lower cost fender/gibson guitars/basses, etc) unless it was something I could easily flip. I'm rambling. I guess run it by me is what I'm saying.

  17. I have a 73 and it's great. If finances were better, would be mine. Oh yes, it would be mine.

Few more pictures. Like I said, any trade offer would have to have some cash coming my way.
