new to the thread. I have a Black G & L SB-2 Bass that I bought in 1983 or 1984 when I made some money one summer. Played around in different garage bands and then forgot about it. I was thinking of selling but have no idea how much it is worth. It plays great and nothing has been changed. Even the same strings. Very good condition. Any ideas?

Can't ask questions like this unless you're a "supporting member".

As much as somebody will pay for her!

Seriously though - You have to buy a supporting membership to sell or price gear on this forum... read it for yourself http://www.talkbass.com/forum/faq.php

    (It's in rule #3 FYI).

You should be aware that prices vary, online auctions should give you some info. SB-2's are tone Monsters, I haven't played one but I've heard recordings confirming it - with modern ones and early 80's examples :smug:.

They fetch a decent penny because they are awesome - well at least mine is. It is on my short 'not likely to ever be for sale' list.
  8. There's always a lot of posts like these.

I became a supporting member because $20 a year is pretty cheap in order to support a place where I can learn a lot and incessantly blab nonsense. Clears my head.
