This is a great Guild Pilot SB602 from 1984. Transparent sunburst finish with original EMG P/J pickups. In great shape, especially for a 30+ year old instrument. Back of the neck has good scratches behind the 10th fret. The previous owner believes there was a staple sticking up in the case. It never bothered me and I honestly never felt it after the first day. One minor finish chip on front as you can see in the pictures, two tiny dots where the screws for the battery holder began to come through, but these were touched up and stained nicely. The previous owner put strap buttons on the back of both horns. I just had a complete fret job done on this and the action can go super low and play effortlessly. Comes with original case (I believe) and even the original warranty booklet! Truss rod cover is here also - just wasn't on when I took the photos. $450 shipped anywhere in continuental US.
These are kind of hidden gems for short money. This one plays similarly to my Sadowsky and has a definite Spector NS2-type tone.
I know a couple of studios that have a Pilot as one of their on-hand basses; solid, versatile, well-built, easy-to-manage tone. Engineers like them. Kind of a secret gem.
