    1987 GMC Caballero (Chevrolet El Camino) with 177,000 miles. 305 ci (5.0L) V8 with automatic transmission. Black/Silver two-tone paint that looks great.

    The car needs work: the truck bed is rusting off the frame due to frame rot, but is repairable from what I’m told. There is rust around the edges, and will need a new muffler for sure.

    The engine runs strong once warmed up. Transmission rebuilt 17k miles ago.

    The car was in a small accident on 5/2/07, t-boned by an F-350 running a stoplight. Car drove away with no damage other than a front-end alignment and a dented front fender and driver door. Nothing structural, only cosmetic. – I have a replacement fender from a 1983 ready to be put on, just need paint. I just haven’t had time to tear apart the front end. Door can be banged out to look like new.

    Interior is in great shape, as good as new. Gray bucket seats, center console, no real problems. Has JVC CD player installed.

    The car comes with Craftec tonneau cover. Craftec makes a rigid vinyl cover that’s stretched over an aluminum frame. Looks great. Installed 12/07. Had to remove the bed rails to install, but will include both cover and rails.

    The good:
    * Transmission rebuilt in 11/05. Has 17,000 miles on it since rebuild.
    * New tires: BF Goodrich Traction T/A’s with 500 miles on them.
    * New brakes and drums in the rear.
    * Tonneau cover installed.
    * Engine runs strong.

    The bad:
    * Body rusting off frame. Repairable.
    * Needs bodywork from accident. Parts included.

    Car is best for restoration. Can be turned into a daily driver for not much work.

    Looking for $1500. Car located in Madison, NJ.

    I'm really trying to move it in 30 days or less, before I have to pay to re-register or insure something that's not being driven.

  4. That thing is sick. I have always wanted one like that. Too bad I don't have the money to fix it.
