SOLD 1988 EBMM Stingray 2-Band EQ Natural w/Rosewood

Up for grabs is this awesome 1988 Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray. It features a natural finish, super smooth rosewood board, beautiful figuring in the maple neck, and that great two-band EQ. All hardware and electronics seem to be original. I installed a replacement mute kit from EBMM for the bridge, as it was missing when I purchased it. If you're looking for a vintage Stingray with tons of vibe and tone at a reasonable price, this bass is for you!

The body has its fair share of mojo, mostly buckle rash and wear around the top edge of the body. I've tried to capture it in the photos. It's a bass that's clearly been played over the last 30 years, and the resulting wear adds to the allure of this instrument. The neck is straight, rock solid, and plays like a dream.

This bass is noticeably light in comparison to other Stingrays, weighing in between 8.5 and 9 lbs. according to my bathroom scale.

I purchased this bass through a local sale just over a year ago. In the time since, I've played plenty of club, wedding, and corporate party gigs with it. This Stingray has tone for days! The classic two-band EQ can call up anything from Bernard Edwards and Louis Johnson-style thump to bright aggressive rock tones.

This bass is an amazing instrument and a player's dream! I'm only parting with it in order to fund the purchase of another bass. No trade offers please.
