    Great playing bass, has some player wear but still looks great. It's either koa or a walnut top, it's right in between being able to tell for me but has a perfect flame on it. 5 piece body with a mahogany core. Not much fret wear, and has the original case. Action is low and even on the whole bass. 3100 shipped/paypal

    That looks like Koa to me.

    Oh....a Ken Smith with the original 3 knob preamp and the black oversized headstock! The best Smiths ever made and highly sought after by Ken Smith players.

    I think it's Koa as well but just thought I'd ride the fence just in case!

    The wood is Koa.....that bass plays like butter!

    Good eye, apparently it was not secured but took it to my luthier so it will be done right. Kind of not in a rush about the bass, my fave Smith so far so hopefully I can ditch the other items I need so this can stick around.
