We have a nice 1991 RBX5 up for grabs. The bass weighs around 9lbs, and comes in a nice Metallic Red finish. The electronics are PJ, and have bite with a bit of bottom, though I think the bass could use some shielding. Controls are V/B/T. I also had to replace the G tuning head with a new Gotoh, as the original one was shipped to me broken. The bridge is chunky! A little history: The Yamaha RBX5 is an early production 5-string introduced in 1987, and originally had a very slim neck like the BB5000 before it. Around 1989, the model was updated with a beefier neck that had wider string spacing at the nut and bridge. A very nice player, I've owned two other ones in the past. I actually prefer the earlier thin necked one, personally, but this plays and feels solid. NOW $240 shipped ConUs, $220 cash local pickup in NY. This is the lowest I'm going.
Sigh, apparently no interest whatsoever in this. This one is off to eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Yamaha-RBX5-Classic-5-String-Electric-Bass-Guitar-/271738933076?
