PHOTOS This is a player's bass with dings, nicks, scratches which you can see in the photos. The strap button has been placed in a different location, leaving a recognizable screw hole in the previous location. It is solid and has not moved in the 4 years I have owned the bass. Overall, I would give this a 6.5 out of 10. A great boutique bass that you don't have to worry about scratching. Comes with OHSC and truss rod tool. Fresh set-up with DR Black Beauties. Sounds great! Here is a video with close-up and sound: * 24 fret ebony fret board * 9.0 pounds * original Bartolini pick ups and pre amp * cherry sunburst finish $975 shipped to 48 states
I loved my 93 Pedulla Thunderbass. I hated to sell it when I retired from gigging / playing, but It was too nice of a bass not to be played much. These are great playing and sounding basses. You can't go wrong at this price. Good luck with the sale of this beauty.
Maybe, but it'll take another 50 years worth. Actually it looks like just a little belt buckle rash. A little honest road wear never hurt anyone. The frets on these Pedullas seem to last forever. There's no other 4 string I would even consider as long as this is here. This bass should be priced more around $1500.
It's been through some years of use. The playability is great, It sounds great. I feel my price is more than fair.
Does this model not have the "thunderguts" switch? Maybe since it is an older model I am guessing? What do the controls consist of? Thanks
Good question. It does not have the switch. I believe it is Volume, Tone & Pan. Someone might know for sure, I'll check it when I get home.
do the early 4 string thunderbasses have 1,5" nut width or is it a little wider (1,6)? And do you know the weight? still great looking bass with the little dings and dongs ...
Having had (and still have) a few Pedullas, I personally much prefer the earlier electronics. There really is no need for the 'thunder' enhancement at all. This is an incredible deal. If you've been on the fence to try a Pedulla here's a chance to do so 'on the cheap'.
