  1. Sad to see this go, time to thin the herd. This is a beautiful 1996 Alembic Signature Standard 4 in excellent condition. Balances perfectly, monster tone, a joy to play. She never left my smoke free studio and is a spectacular 18 year old bass. Alembic's list price is $9200.00, get it for a fraction of the cost and no wait time. Includes Alembic HS case. Specs are:

    Does this one use a battery for the preamp or does it use the external power supply?

    It doesn't look like it has the 5 pin for the power supply if it was a 34 inch scale id of been all over it

    Don't see the 5-pin connector, so expect an 18V (2 9-volts) circuit.

    FWIW - even if it had the 5-pin for external power, it would still be operable with 2 9-volts.
  9. I hate to see this just sit, so I'll lower the price. Perhaps someone will bite? I paid significantly more for this bass than what I am asking. This is a steal of a deal for sure. Take it off my hands before I come to my senses. I'd much rather see my Talkbass brethren be the proud owner of this beauty than list this on Ebay. Now $3825 shipped Lower 48.
