    1999 Ampeg AEB-2 Reissue Scroll Bass - Made by Bruce Johnson

    Super rare - one of 25 or so made.

    All original.

    Comes with Ampeg labeled hardcase and Ampeg instrument brochure (pictured).

    This bass was originally owned by Howie Epstein of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers (I purchased it from his brother after Howie's passing).

    In some of Bruce's early Scroll basses he was experimenting with different woods - this example's body was made with Philippine mahogany (not ash as the ampeg brochure lists).

    The bass has a very nice clear and punchy tone.

    $3,200.00 plus shipping (Buyer pays for cost of the shipping label/insurance).
