E914BC65-B294-4E13-A117-4F58C67A654D.jpeg Hey TB’ers! If you’re looking at this, you’re probably aware of what it is. One of the best examples of The foreign made Fender lines. Made in Korea, These Squier Pro Tones rivaled the USA made models of the time, and were mostly built from high end parts and components. These passive humbuckers are actually pretty great, but could easily be swapped out for the EMG-40HZ. 19mm string spacing, very comfortable neck, very resonant and strong B string. This particular bass is in incredible condition. All of the gold hardware looks fantastic! The beautiful crimson red transparent finish shows off the stunning wood grain very well. It’s a beautiful solid Ash body. One piece maple neck with rosewood fretboard. The bass is not very heavy (right at 9lbs), and balances very well. The only noticeable cosmetic Issue is some wear on the headstock around the “Pro Tone” logo. The previous owner stuck a medal medallion on there at some point and then later removed it. It’s not that bad, but wanted to mention it for full transparency. Not currently strung up. Was going to restring, but decided to leave strong choice and setup preference to the new buyer. Would be happy to set up and restring for you, if you’d like.

PRICE DROP $550 shipped CONUS in gig bag. PayPal ok, but Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or FB Pay also accepted.

I also have the partner Stratocaster for sale. It’s been upgraded with US AVRI parts. Would cut a deal for the pair, so you can keep the siblings together. As far as trades, looking for Fender Precision type stuff Preferably in some kind of burst. Bodies, necks, full basses, whatever. Would love to trade both for a US P or P/J. Possibly other 4 String options for the pair, but not really looking to trade just the bass/guitar for anything in the budget import range. PM me with offers or questions!

Yes they are. I bought the Precision V about 5 years ago to get into 5 string playing more. It was such a great instrument, I ended up playing it exclusively for almost two years. When the Strat came up for sale near me about a year ago, I had to jump on it. They both sound Great and play beautifully.

For reference sake, and to those PM’ing with sold listings from a decade ago-
Here is a screenshot of the last three Pro Tone basses sold on Reverb. Two just this week. Don’t forget these buyers also paid tax with the new online sales law.

And here was the last one sold on TB. Not in as good condition and did not include gig bag.

I have a ProTone 5 as well. Great bass. Love the neck..wide but slim. I bought mine off Reverb last year too, but it's not one of those in dopejohnpaul's screenshot

If you like the slightly wider flatter neck, go for it!
