11/17 update...Sold pending payment... Please rescue this bass from me - it's a project that deserves to be finished! Pics and exact weight coming a little later. I picked this up locally a few months back with the intent of upgrading it and making if my “flats” bass, but that job fell to a pretty awesome Stingray, and I have a AVRI P-bass that will be buried with me, making this expendable. Neck and body are in great shape. Neck is fully functional and adjusts as it should – frets in good shape. Turners are pretty smooth, not wobbly like some of the MIM’s I’ve tried in the past. Body is a nice sunburst. No real notable wear (pics are pretty good at showing everything) - some light scratches on the back. The worst is some oxidation on the pickguard screws and bridge. Completed bass is somewhere in the 9-9.5 lb range if memory serves me right. Will post exact weight later. Upgrades/changes: Lollar 60’s P-bass pickup Mojotone pre-wired harness with 0.022 cap Black allparts pickguard (lines up pretty well with original – no additional holes needed) Jazz bass style knobs Original pickup/electronics/pickguard included. OEM pickup is a little bigger than the lollar, and would not fit the new pickguard without some filing Missing/Needs: One bridge height adjustment screw for the bridge is missing. If I was keeping it I would throw a threaded saddle bridge on it and call it a day, just because it’s what I prefer. Original knobs are long gone No strings Looking for $300 shipped for everything. Will ship with neck detached. Not interested in parting out at the moment, but if it sits for too long I may reconsider. Discount for local deals, and open to trades (via PM please) {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Was able to procure a replacement height adjustment for the g bridge saddle. It isn’t a perfect match visually (just the tiniest bit taller, and shinier) but makes the bridge 100% functional.
