SOLD This is a Sadowsky NYC Quilt Top 5 String from 1999. All original. Swamp Ash Body with Quilt Maple Top, Cherry Burst Finish, Maple Neck And Fingerboard, Chrome Hardware, Sadowsky JJ Single Coil Pickups, Sadowsky Preamp, Volume, Pickup Blend, Passive Tone, Stacked Bass/Treble, mini preamp defeat switch, Serial #3222. Comes with original Sadowsky Ultralite Case. $2400 firm. $40 shipping in CONUS. No trades please. Paypal accepted.

I am the original owner of this bass and I've played it quite a bit! It has some typical scuffing and very minor surface wear.
The only ding of any significance is a tiny chip down by the pickup jack (pictured). All and all, it's in very good condition. It sounds and plays great, just like a NYC Sadowsky should! I've played this bass on the road with Tanya Tucker, T. Graham Brown and John Berry, plus it's been used on countless Nashville songwriter demos. (records great!) I love this bass but I'm playing 4 strings much more these days and need to raise some $$. I don't know the exact weight but it's nice and light, probably around 8.5 lbs. Sorry these aren't the greatest pictures, I'm photographically challenged. PM with any questions and thanks for looking!

    Bobby

Sweet Sadowsky from the "tone"era. All Sadowskys rock but the ones around '99-01 have that certain mojo IMHO.I'd grab it in a minute if I didn't have 2.Somebody grab this before I have 3.

    It's a preamp bypass switch.

That's one of the prettiest Sadowskys I've seen. Very nice price too. I'm not shopping so I'll just give a slight (if un-needed) bump.

    Sweet.

I don't know about you guys, but I personally enjoy knowing the history of a bass that I'm buying. It makes for great fodder among the guys in the band. HOPEFULLY it's halfway true, and original owner basses seem to get my attention too. Congratulations on an outstanding purchase!
