    Hi!!
I Have a Mesa Walkabout combo, 12" 300w 4 ohms. I need more volume, and i want to buy a 4 ohms new cab (and run 2 ohms). I really like the Aguilar 212 and the Avatar Neo 212 but I don't know if is a "redundant" configuration.
I like the low mids, the combo is good sounding but itself, but maybe another 12" will do the sound too low, so maybe I need to buy a 4x10.
Please, what do you think about?
    4x10 or 2x12??
Thanks a lot and I apologizes for my english

You'd need a really efficient 212 or 410 to be able to power both the 112 of the combo and the extension speaker. Most guys either add another 112/210 sized speaker or use the Walkabout head with another cabinet entirely.

Some here have even powered 810 cabs with a Walkabout. Think about trying it with another cab entirely if you need more volume. Running that head through a 4 ohm 410/212 will be pretty darn loud.

Thanks a lot. At last I have purchased one 2x10 Avatar neo.

Just tagging on to the thread. I've been thinking of doing something like this, even though it's out of spec for the Walkabout. Let us know how it goes!
