I have an ashdown Mag 300 H head and a 4X10" cab (rated at 300W). I want to add a 1x15 cab for a big bottom ends (I like big bottom ends!) but the cab is only rated to 150W. Is it going to go bang?

Each cabinet must be rated at 8 ohms. Otherwise, you'll melt the head running less than a 4 ohm total load.

If so, you are fine. The two cabinets paired will each see a max RMS output from that amp of 162.5 watts. The specs are certainly loose enough to allow for a swing of less than 10 percent.
