2 8ohm cabs...optimal setup for 800rb?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by roosterbass, Mar 5, 2008.

  1. i have an aggie 212 and aggie210, both 8 ohm cabs...i just got an 800rb as a backup to my genz gbe600. im wondering how to get the most juice out of the 800rb for gigs, would it be better to run both the 210 and 212 out of the low output, so it would push GK's 300 watts or would it be better to do the traditional, 210 out the high and 212 out the low, it seems to me the 212 would be too much underpowered in that case

  2. This has always been my bitch about the 800.

Great sounding head, but inefficient in spreading out that 400w. It's really designed to be a biamp head.

run both cabs on the low out and get the juice out of it ..... i use this head on my 810 and love it . you can use the 8 ohm out put for a floor monitor or something ....
