2-band EQ system confusion...

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by hellrazor213, Feb 5, 2005.

  1. I recently purchased my first bass, a Schecter Omen-4, and I have no clue on what the 2-band EQ is all about...could you explain what Low Cut/Boost and High Cut/Boost is all about and the difference between the Master Volume Bridge and Master Volume Neck is as well...

also...what setting would you suggest for Metal music...

you have two pickups. One closest to the neck, one closest to the bridge. The two master volume controls adjust the volumes of the respective pickups. You get different sounds from the neck and bridge pickups, getting the mix of the two that gets the sound you want can take some experimentation.
Low cut/boost and high cut/boost either cut or boost bass and treble frequencies.

  3. sounds easy enough...wonder why the owners manuel left that part out...lol...

    thanks man...
