I've decided to go with MM's exclusively, so I sold 3 basses and 2 of the 3 I'm getting are in, these are the Ball Family Reserve editions with Rosewood necks. It was a very limited run, there are some still available, but I would think they would sell pretty quickly. I just got them, but I give them a 10 in every respect, the necks have the same oiled finish so they feel unfinished, really smooth. The pic's are from the TPB, as you can't beat their photos. Candy Red Bongo 5 HH and a Tobacco Snbrst. StingRay 5 HH. I'm freaking in love.

  2. Congratulation on these outstanding basses. The rosewood necks are out of this world. I'm a sucker for them. The Bongo looks so good with that neck. By any chance, is your other bass a Sterling? You'd have the ultimate EBMM collection.

Thanks, No it's a SR5 20th Anniv. My next quest is the 25th Anniv. starting to be released now. I don't know if I can bond with the smaller body of the Sterling, but I definitely have become an MM fan.

  4. Has your experience with TPB been good? I'd imagine so if you ordered at least two basses from them. How long did it take to ship to Jersey?

BABY those are some sexy basses! I love watching the Ball Family reserve inventory on TPB. Incredible stuff they're putting out, to be sure.

My experience with TPB has been nothing short of wonderful. Everything happened like it was supposed to, and they were quite helpful.

Totally, the Bongo 5 HS coming in June will be number 5 from TPB. Imho it's one of the best stores in the country, the free shipping usually takes 3 days to NJ from Baton Rouge. I highly recommend them, they are really proficient in the whole sale process. I've never gotten a bass from them with even a smudge on it, the little details like that show a good work ethic.

When sitting if you let go of the neck it is, but on a strap it's not.

The order window was I believe from Nov to Dec. and they started shipping approx. late March.

  12. Very nice! Love the HH configurations.

All you need is the matching BFR HH Sterling :p

Beautiful, but i believe the color on that SR5 is a bit off.

You should send it to me for further inspection.... ;)
