Debating on buying another pf410 hlf so I can run the pf800 amp full power or the Svt 410hlf 500 watts/peak 1000 watts at 4 ohms... does that means that I can run the pf800 amp full power???
    What about the svt610 hlf 600 watts/peak 1200 watts?...

As always, use your ears and the goop between them and you will be fine. Theoretically, you can use full power, but with great power comes great responsibility, so if your speakers sound like they're going to explode, they will.

    Da U P eh!
To my ear the Ampeg 6x10 hlf sounds much nicer than the 4x10 hlf.

Never tried the pf series though.

  5. I bought the SVT 410HLF, never cared for the 610, no experience with the PF hlfcabs.

(I also sold my 410HLF and PF cabs. Nice equipment, but I found something I liked better and that weighed less.)

2 pf410 hlf or svt 610 which one would have a better sound generally, which one would be louder?

Good question...if your idea of better sound is super duper low end response, two PF115hlf's. If your idea of better sound is a slightly rolled off low end similar to the 810e or 410he, the 610hlf. Loudness should be fairly close since the lower a cab goes, the more amplification it takes to get to the same level as a cab that doesn't go as low.

People said that the svt cabs are better personally never played a 610 before, the 610 would get as low as the pf410 hlf with more clarity?

Never played the pf410 hlf, but between the svt410 hlf & svt610 hlf I would choose the svt610 hlf for its tonal similarities (more volume and pronounced mids) to the 810E.

No, actually the PF410hlf goes extremely low and the 610hlf doesn't go as low. I don't know about clarity, as I've never played the PF410hlf and I'm only going by the specs.

Thanks a lot for the info...
I think Another pf410 would be a better choice for me cause each cab is 800watts, more low end and cheaper.. But I just read good reviews about the svt410 heritage I think I ll go for the herritage series now

The Heritage does kick much ass for sure. I have the Heritage 810e and it's the best cab I ever heard.

Out of those I'd pick the 610.

The only thing is that is twice as much as one pf410 but if it's worth it I rather wait and be happy...

The only thing I'd tell you about the Heritage SVT 410hlf is that it's the absolute lowest frequency reaching cab Ampeg makes, and one of the very lowest on the market. If that's your thing, you will love it. It goes low but it's got a great balanced tone all the way up the frequency spectrum. If that's not your thing, 610hlf.

So that's why it sounds bigger than the 610?? I read that the 610 is loud...

Can be, sure. I don't know that I'd say the SVT 410hlf sounds "bigger." All depends on your tastes.

I been playing thru a 610hlf for couple years now, it can get loud. Before that I had a 410hlf...my personal preference is the 610hlf...no where's near the lows as the 410hlf...very mid punchy! Plus it taller, much better for me on stage.

I like the 610 better because I don't need my bass to sound like a kick drum.
