so we meet again TB´ers!!! What up... this is my 2nd tread and i wanted to ask 2 things. 1- what´s better: several single effect stompboxes or 1 good multieffect board? (my budget is around 120 bucks - yeah, i know, it sucks ) and 2- whats your favourite multieffects board (mind my crappy budget please) Thanx again!!! Up The Irons!!!!!
In terms of the quality of the effects, there's no question (in my mind at least) that single effects are best. What sort of effects are you looking for in particular?
As far as cheap multieffects go, nothing will beat a Korg AX-1B. It's discontinued but easy to find 2nd hand for about 70-80.
hey dudes, thanx 4 replying, i`m primarily looking for metal distorion (no nu metal thanx, i`m not very "fond" of it), compressor, flanger, eq and lately i`ve been interested in those sitar and backward sounding effects (kinda alternative but i`ll find some use to them). i`ve seen the V-amp board, but i`ve only seen it as an amp simulator and my priority are effects, but thanx 4 the tips. im now kinda interested in the bfx-4 (i think that`s the name) so im waiting a lil bit to buy around september (i`ll get some cash 4 me birthday) and i`ll buy some effects and new pickups. thanx anyway!!!! Up The Irons!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i had a zoom 607 and sold it on ebay. i didnt like it until i got rid of it and realized that i was attached to the chorus that it had. the pedal had very little user friendly controls and many options were limited but it did do the job. i am starting my line of new single effects. im starting with chorus, overdrive, and im starting to like flanger. then ill eventually get a wah, thick fuzz distortion, and a good delay. i think single effetcs are the way to go, but money is a problem for most, but in the long run it works out better buying single effects on ebay.
hey finger blister, what up? hey dude is that boss board on e-bay? or is it urs? getting kinda interested... Up The Irons!!!!!!
Yeah, I found one on E-Bay with the manual for $75. Great effects & made in Japan, not Indonesia. Fanastic as a Direct Box, Preamp, or in the Effects Loop of your fav. head. You can use a full on Midi pedal board with pedal or go with the 1/4 switches for up down/on off. If you get one I can send you a couple hundred custom programs you can load.
