What are 2 things you love, and 2 things you hate about your main bass.

For me, i love the fact that nearly everytime i look at my bass, it looks different and i love the color. But 2 things i hate is the fact that parts are hard to get for it and it requires alot of maintainence because it isnt #1 for quality.

    Und Du?

I love the tone and feel of the bass. It's so comfortable to me. I hate how it can be so high maintenance and such a spoiled brat sometimes, though. Ahhh, kids.
  3. i love my bass ( yamaha attitude special) coz it cost £150 second hand in mint condition, and the new asking price for is around £900. Also its plays and sounds very nice.

but on the bad side its kinda a little difficult to slap on coz of the neck pickup, and its also green:) yucky yucky vomit green.x

-Looks (seems so damn intimidating to onlookers and friends:D)
    -Sound, versatility

-I wish I didn't get used to such a damn wide neck, it limits my possibilities

Oh damn, I put 4 things that I love about it... oh well! It's just that good to me!:D

:D It has absolutely incredible tone
:D It is absolutely gorgeous to look at

 I have to undo 4 screws to get to the batteries
:spit: It goes through batteries like my kids go through Rice Krispie Treats (when I don't use the external power supply)

  7. Great tone, looks cool.

Heavy, can't set it up well by myself:bawl: Am prone to hitting it on stuff(i guess that's my fault)

    B string

    Faux EMG electronics
    Stone age bridge.
  12. Fender Geddy Lee jazz w/ J-Retro

    Dont Love:
I have to take the neck off to access the truss rod.
The tuners could be a bit better.
  13. Ibanez BTB 405qm

The vary mid 3 band eq.

    The Low B!

Action - I still haven't found a perfect low action + no fret buzz set up yet.. After a year. (that dual truss rod thing :meh: ) - might be taking it to a pro when I find one.

Finish - I dont like the gloss finish on it.. and would like if the dye wasn't so dark.. (it's transparent black) I'll might be refinishing it some day..
  14. love:
-long scale makes slap sound really tight and focused
    -nice bubinga top
    -a bit heavy
    -pickups are really bright(emg-hz)

Its hard to me to say what I love about my bass, because the things I love just might be me adapting to the bass. So...

    The action
The punch? Yeah, I think its got punch.

    Not a fender
Screws are beginning to become stripped.
  16. love; look (classic)
    string spacing
    hate; weight
    frets could be better
love&hate(yeah at the same time);tone, love that classic sound but i could do without the hum :spit:

I love the sound, the feel, the look, and the fact that it's way different from anything anyone else around here is using onstage.

I hate that it's not a five-string, and that the preamp is so hot.

Love: the unique tone of 3 J pickups, and the looks of it.

hate: hard to get this damn thing set up right, and it is forever cursed to have something wrong with it at all times, strings breaking, finish cracking, something buzzing that can't be located and fixed, that sort of thing.

but that can be coped with.

I love the neck on it -- the only bass with a neck to compare in comfort and ease of play is the Geddy Lee Signature. It looks fantastic too -- it has a deep, sparkling blue colour with a high gloss finish and a black pickguard (P style body).

I'm not a big fan of the low quality sound, but I can't afford any better right now. Also, the tuners aren't exactly high quality at all.

    It's a Samick P-bass copy with a j-pickup in the bridge position.
