I have 2 things to go about as far as recording. I'm going to post some of my stuff in this thread and I was kind of stuck on what covers to record. I do not slap, mainly because I have a crappy bass and the stuff I'm into doesn't place it at an extreme priority.

My 2nd thing is a humming problem in Cakewalk. I record my riffs into it but I always get some type of empty hum that doesnt come from my guitar it's just there. I heard there was an effect used to cover this up......

Thanks, Expect some stuff up here shortly.

well..Which Cakewalk are you running. Also, It could be your sound card. If you are using a really crappy sound card then the A/D converters just could be junk. There is no real effet to get rid of this...that I know of. MAybe someone knows about that. This will be better server in the REcording Forum.

Try to move your soundcard to another PCI slot, as far away from the videocard as possible.
