So, I need a cheapish 210 cab to use infrequently. I am hopeing to score an avatar 210. My question...

Could I replace the tweeter with a 5" mid driver like in acme and use the same crossover?

What would this do to my sound?
Would it cut the frq response to 11K or so? Thats fine with me anyway.

Why are there not more cabs with a 5 or 6" instead of a tweeter anyway. The only example I can come up with is the Berg NV215.

You can if it will fit.
No,it's at least an octave too high.

From a technical standpoint make it a lot better, as the Avatar has a wide response hole between where the woofers leave off and the tweeter begins.

Probably because it's a lot more expensive.
  3. +1 on all accounts. Nuff said.

hmmm...how to go about this the best way possible.
Can you guys suggest a replacement crossover and 5" or 6" for me?
