Yes, this is one of the most desired era basses of the Marcus Miller Fender Jazz bass line.

This is a 2003 Made in Japan model. NOT the made in Mexico ones you see now. This is also before the "Crafted in Japan" line, but I don't know if there's a difference other than personal preference.

This is a top shelf bass. In MY opinion, the Marcus Miller jazz bass is the BEST bass Fender ever made. It is also the Fender bass for non-Fender lovers like myself. It just feels great. Plays like a dream and sounds killer, too.

    - 2003 Marcus Miller Fender Jazz Bass made in Japan.
    - Solid ash body
    - Maple neck with maple fret board, block inlays.
    - Active 2 band preamp with Active / Passive switch
    - Bad Ass II bridge, Fender reverse tuners.
    - New strings, new 9v, new set up
    - Sounds KILLER in both active and passive modes. Quiet preamp.

The bass is immaculate to me. Maybe if you're super anal you'll find a fault, but to a "normal" player the bass does not have a mark or scratch anywhere on it.

Comes with crappy hard shell case.

    $850 plus shipping

    BigDBass PWIYB!

    Very nice!

What strings are those? At first I thought tapewound, but it looks like black is worn to silver color between the pickups.

    What's it weigh?

Thanks ! Just worn out DR Blackbeauties.

    Weighs only about 9 lbs.

I'd be happy to put new strings on it, if it is a deciding factor.

It now has new strings. Also new set up and 9v for that matter.

  4. *sigh*....One of my dream basses....*sigh*.:help:
