This is a 2006 Fender Power Jazz Bass. This is not to be confused with the Power Jazz Special, which was produced in the late 80’s. The Power Jazz Bass is basically a 60’s style jazz bass with the addition of a Fishman piezo style pickup. The pickup is built in to the saddles of the bridge. The bass has an active preamp that is powered by a 9v battery. The neck is built to 60’s spec and features a rosewood fingerboard, vintage frets, and reverse geared tuners. It has a fresh set of D’Addario strings and has just been set up. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions properly. There are a few small dings, which are pictured. The Power Jazz was only made for a short period of time. Comes with a gig bag and strap. $599 + $50 Shipping Will consider trade offers. Trades: Bass, guitar, bass plus cash (in either direction).
Ya I think they only made them for a year. I think I’m part of the Fender 60th anniversary. Not much info on them. It’s a nice bass.
This is a full restoration and upgrade that I did. These are incredibly rare.m, and it plays and sounds amazing. I’m only selling it because I play sitting down and am used to ajazz bass. Thisbass, being a different design, sits differently and I’d prefer to just stick with jazz basses. For Trade - Very Rare Vintage Ibanez Roadster Bass (1981) - RS-924BS
You did a great job on the restore. I’ve had one of these before. Not really my thing though they are well made.
