These are a 3/4 size Fender precision made in mexico. The quality of them are frankly better then the Standard Mexican series basses of the time. These have a string through bridge and body which the American standards of course are known for. These also had smaller sealed tuning machines like on the older Deluxe USA models. All the hardware and neck are of very nice quality. This bass is not a toy or novelty item, it plays fantastically. The neck has a satin gloss that feels great. The controls are a lone volume pot, CTS in make, switchcraft jack and Im unsure of the pickups used in these but the bass sounds like a Precision bass. Although its small in size the tone sounds identical to a full scale P bass.

Its a light 6 3/4 pounds and 28.59 inch scale length makes it a little smaller then even a mustang. This is perfect for kids, men and women with smaller hands and anyone with stuff like arthritis, a very easy playing small bass that doesnt sacrifice quality or tone to achieve it.

The string tension is quite good on it, this is possibly due to the string through feature but tuned to E it still has a lot more tension then a full scale P in Eb.
The bass is in good shape, with a few small dings and the headstock dings/scuffs as shown.
I believe the color is dakota red, possibly torino but it looks darker then torino.
Once upon a time ago I saw one of these reach nearly $600 on eBay, of course maybe a uninformed buyer. That said these are pretty rare and 9/10 of them are black.

    $479 Shipped CONUS-always available internationally.
