*** SOLD, THANKS ***** 2006 Limited Edition Bongo HH for sale: I'm the second owner, first owner bought it and left it in the case basically untouched. I've only played it a couple of times, and it is like new. Those who know me know that I don't say that lightly. I have found NO functional or cosmetic issues. These pics are from previous owner (I'm being lazy) - only change is that I removed the inventory stickers from the bass. Can take more pics if serious buyer wants 'em. Reason for sale: to maintain my zero sum gear balance AND my W.A.F. It plays great and sounds excellent, but it can't displace my 55-94, my Skjold custom, or my Sadowsky RV5. So it needs to go to someone who will actually play it... $1200 obo shipped ground and insured to lower 48 in original hard case. Only acceptable forms of payment are USPS money order, Paypal, or cold hard cash in my grubby little hand. You know, I'm not sure. Looks like it, though - anybody care to correct my ignorance on this point regarding the Limited Edition version?
Having purchased a "like-new" bass from the Good Doctor before, I can certainly attest to that. When he says it's like new, you can certainly believe it. Bump for a great guy to deal with! dcr
OK, thanks - I stand corrected by those who are more Bongo-knowledgeable than I. It does look quite dark, though - a very dark brown, close to black.
Yeah, EB gets a wide variety in colour of rosewood. Some that look like Cocobolo, some like Pau Ferro and of course yours that looks like ebony. Sometimes you can really get lucky.
Yep. I was lucky to get a Dargie 'Ray with a rosewood board that looks like ebony. Quite nice contrast to the inlays. Talking of inlays: Interesting to note that this Ltd edition Bongo also has the dot inlays instead of the circular ones common on Bongos. I quite like it!
