I've had this a few years and really haven't used it as much as I wanted. It hurts to let it go, but my high interest credit cards hurt more. $2200, FedEx insured shipping, Paypal only, USA shipping only. 2006, beautiful Walnut top, 19mm string spacing, Bartolini Pickups and preamp, phenolic fretboard. A few scratches shown in some of the pics. There is a crack in the clear coat at the neck joint which was there when I bought it. The string wear on the neck is minor but the pic makes it look really bad. No buzzing or dead notes. Otherwise very good condition. The case has some wear marks on the outside, a nickel sized gouge and does not seal 100% on one edge. Click on pics for an expanded view.
Watching closely while deliberating finances. The control knobs. Are they volume bass mid treble? Or volume pan bass treble? Or something else? Tell me more about this bass. Thanks.
The pre-amp is a Bartolini NTMB-918FL, 18v. Single volume, single blend, single mid sweep, stacked treble/bass. From the Bartolini website: "The NTMB+FL is designed to put more focus on the mid frequencies. As such, the bass control has less range than the NTMB+F ( +/-12dB @30hz vs. +/-15dB @30hz). Also the treble control has less range and is set at a lower frequency than the NTMB+F ( +/-15dB @6.5KHz vs. +/-18dB @10KHz). This results in more treble attenuation above the control frequency on the FL model, so the voice in general is less bright. Additionally, both the bass and treble controls of the FL model have more effect on the mid frequencies because the filter Q is lower for all 3 bands. Overall, this makes the FL well suited for fretless instruments which tend to have less focus on both brightness and heavy bottom." There is a sale pending. I will update this weekend.
Thanks for the further info. Nice bass. Very tempting. If the pending sale doesn't work out, will you post more pics of the fingerboard? Maybe different angles so we can see the condition better. Thanks!
Still available. $2000, FedEx shipped, insured, USA only. Here's some pics of the fretboard. These wear marks are pretty minor considering I played this bass for about 2-3 years pretty consistently. The do not add any buzz or dead notes. Running my finger over them, you only really feel the most worn looking spots. This is an incredible sounding bass. Even, thick tone, with the 3 band eq, you can dial in mwah sizzle to thuddy upright sounds.
