Here's a rare treat, up for trade is my 2006 Alembic Mark King Signature Deluxe 5!

-Weight - 11.15lbs - Balances very well with the body design on a strap
    -34" Scale
-5A Quilt Maple top, Purpleheart accent laminate with Maple pinstripe, Mahogany body
-7 piece Neck with Maple and Purpleheart
-Ebony Fretboard (looks like Gaboon Ebony)
    -Black Tahitian Pearl Oval Inlays
-Balance K body shape with Heart Omega carving
    -Red and Yellow side LEDs
-High gloss polyester finish, satin neck feel
-Ultra flat neck profile - plays very fast
    -Pickups: Alembic AXY
-Controls: volume, pan, filter x2, Q x2, LED on/off, mono output
    -Serial number is 06MK13656
NOTE: MK means it's a Deluxe Mark King Model.
    String spacing - 18mm
    -Nut height is adjustable
-Dual Truss Rods - adjustable with a 1/4" open ended wrench
Comes with the original G&G Case which is form fitted (and not to mention big!)

Condition is 8 / 10 - There is a small mark by the top strap post, the brass cavity cover plate has some marks on it, and there a few non-photographical dings on the body.

The AXY Preamp is a very special circuit. I really like it. You get individual filter based tone controls for each pickup, plus a Q switch that adjusts the overall bandwidth of the filter.
Loads of tonal variation here folks.

Current List price is $15,000 U.S.
Bass Central price is ~$12,000 U.S.

Selling price is $5500 U.S. with payment via paypal and shipping included in Canada or the U.S. via Canada Post / USPS. Shipping overseas with payment via paypal and shipping via Canada Post Xpresspost International is $5850.00 U.S.

As for trades, will look at other high end 5 strings, may consider 4's too.
Brands of interest: Fodera, F-Bass, Wal, Alleva Coppolo, Kenneth Lawrence, Carl Thompson, Sadowsky, etc
Please send trade offers via PM only to not clutter up the thread.

    I may consider 2 for 1 trades........

Willing to look at rackmount preamps (either dedicated bass preamps or mic preamps) and Bergantino bass cabs. For the most part, I'd prefer basses though.

    Check this out......

The amount of time that went into this bass is pretty exceptional.

Prime definition of opportunity cost...I've got an opportunity I can't take, and it's gonna cost me. :( I've been looking for an Alembic 5, and this is just so beautiful it makes my head spin.

I've got an Epic 6 in Flame Maple that I'd gladly trade, but as good as it is it's not nearly the bass that this one is...money isn't there to make up the difference even if you'd go that route. Rats.

I honestly hate to put you through this kind of agony......but it usually ends of being "the nature of the beast".

Unfortunately, I have no interest in an Alembic 6 or any 6 to be honest. I really don't like the high C on a bass. So, it's either a 4 or a 5.
