2006 US Lakland 4-94 I am the third owner, and have owned it since 2013. Quarter sawn neck. 1.62 neck width. Rosewood board. Birdseye maple dot markers and bone nut. Ash body in Trans White. Weight is 8.8 lbs on the digital scale. No nicks, dings or divots. Comes with 2 pickguards, one matte black, one brown tort. Both applied with #M spray glue - no drill holes. Also includes standard Lakland knobs and a custom set. Lakland pickups and electronics. Lakland branded tweed case. This is a superb example of the high quality builds of the late Dan-era Laklands. The neck has a low action with no string buzz and plays fast with a light touch. $1750, plus $50 shipping to lower 48. Would trade for US Glaub or Wilkins WRTP, 4 string, jazz width neck.
Just out of curiosity, what is the approximate serial number? I have 4-94 S/N 093. It it cherry sunburst with a birdseye maple FB, and is one of the most amazing basses I have encountered in my lifetime. I have always thought she needed a twin sister with a rosewood FB. Alas, a 27th bass may land me in divorce court...
How about that? Very tempting! Note the jack placement changed at some point very early on. The shiny spots are cymbal stand reflections.
A classic beauty! Those had such great birds-eye necks. Also the bridge is less of an oval and there is no Lakland logo - early days!
