Here is a Fender Precision bass. I'm not really jiving with it. It's in good condition. I used some light trickery (trickery involving light, not a small amount of trickery, you know when you...you get the idea!) to get blemishes to show up. You can't actually see them dead on. Back to the two pickup basses for me!

For the most part. I'm interested in things that are similar to what I have on the list. I'm not going to be interested in a 4 string bass but I would be interested in 5/6 string fretlesses not on the list.

It's 8.64 lbs. I added it to the top post.

Is it just me or has anyone else notice that people who ask the weight never buy the bass?

I own one just like it. ...same year and virtually same weight. It is, first and foremost, a good old classic P bass. Yep, it's got an extra string. That doesn't take away from what it is.

If you are a P bass guy, and already are or think you might be a 5 string guy, you will feel right at home on this bass. Every 5 stringer should have one.

    I know. It's killing me.
I'm a 100% Fender P bass guy (for me two pickups is one pickup too many!) I have two 4 strings-an American Standard and an American Special and have been wanting to get into a 5 string.
Plus, I'm in Florida like an hour and 15 minutes away from the seller.
Someone please buy this thing so it can stop torturing me!!!!!
    GLWTS, kbr!

Does the fact that I'll discount it because of no shipping cost if you pick it up in person make the torture worse? If so, sorry!

Yes, and I have been wondering the same thing. What is the point of asking the weight anyway? I am sure that there is relatively little variation within a model for the major component : the wood! Even that doesn't vary much by species for the volume used in something as small as a bass guitar.

Enough with the "Weight?" BS on every freaking sale thread.

    Rant over.
    GLWTS.
    Nice instrument, BTW.

  15. Ever play or have a 12 lbs slug of a bass? The NYC Fodera in my profile photo was that weight. Not comfortable playing gigs with that on your shoulders. Weight is important to some because of that reason I think. If you are a bedroom player who rarely stands it will not be an issue. Some player look for an ideal weight , say under 9 lbs. Both my vintage P basses are right at 8lbs each and are unbelievable players.....an instrument has to feel right too.....

Indeed, it is. I've just been sick recently so I haven't been bumping as much. The bass is still available until it's marked as sold or traded.
