2008 Fender Custom Shop '59 Precision - 3-tone Sunburst. Rosewood slab fretboard. Gorgeous refin/relic job by GM Vintage Restorations** (http://gmvintagerestorations.com/). 1.75" at the nut. Weighs in at 8lbs 4oz. Lindy Fralin pickups. I still have the original CS pickup but it does not work. Comes with OHSC, COA, pickup & bridge covers, custom shop instrument cable & case candy.

**During the refin/relic job, the Fender Custom Shop logo was removed from the back of the headstock. The bass still has the CS "relic" imprint on both the neck and body.

    [DEL]$2000[/DEL] $1950 Shipped/Insured CONUS

    Bump for a fellow Atlantan.

That's a very tasteful and "believeable" relic job, one of the best I've seen.

I have the identical bass except mine's a Closet Classic. These are wonderful instruments which come with quartersawn necks. If I wasn't overloaded with Precisions I'd be all over yours...CS '59's are my very favorite modern Fenders. Yours is priced fairly and should sell quickly. :)

Thanks Woody! I agree, it's easily one of the best relic jobs I have seen. Gord Miller does fantastic work.

I wish someone would buy this. Every time I see these pictures it make me want to do something I know I shouldn't do since I already have one of these...but, dang, mine sure doesn't look as cool as this one! :meh:

I wonder if the deletion of the CS graphic on the back of the headstock is what is holding it back? That wouldn't bother me since the COA is there and I agree with the original owner that the bass looks more 'vintage authentic' without it. Then again, I'm a player, not a collector. ;)

Yep, I believe that's exactly what's holding it back. It made no difference to me as I'm not a collector either.

I'm seriously considering holding onto this. If the other Pbass I just listed sells first, I likely will be....

If I didn't already have the same bass this would be mine! The CS 59' is one of my favorite Ps and you will not get a better P (in my opinion) for this price!

BTW, if there are any 5 string players looking, I have mine set up BEAD with some chromes. It sound insanely good! It easily handles that low B!
