Where abouts in PA are you? I'm in NJ, I wouldn't mind taking a road trip your way if you'd let me spend a little time with her. You know, to get a feel for how she plays n' such.

I agree, the pics look like different basses.

    They are both sweet!

I was on the road and went to the site where I purchased the bass to post a better picture. The clear up-close one is NOT my bass. I apologize, but it is one that looks so much like it, I thought that was it. It's a beautiful bass no matter but the second picture gives you a better look at how beautiful the wood used is. I am on the road a lot, if interested, email me and I will take a bunch more pictures of it and send to any who are interested.

I am located in Pittsburgh, PA. I wouldn't mind you taking some time to get to know the bass; however, because of my touring the country, don't have much time when I am at home, so it probably wouldn't be practical. I can tell you that I have owned many Quantums and they are a very consistent feel and playability. So, if you've played one with the aguilar pre-amp, the tonal quality and playability will be alike.

Let me add, that if you've never played a Modulus bass, then you've missed a lot. It is a very consistent, reliable, and excellent sounding instrument. And, with the carbon fiber neck, the feel is consistent no matter the weather conditions or temperature of the gig.

+1. Totally agree. My Q5 has only been setup one time in the 13 years I've owned it. Extremely stable and very reliable.
