I am selling my 2009 Upton Standard Hybrid. This bass is in basically new condition and I am the second owner of it. I bought it on consignment through upton in spring of 2013 and was told it was built for an electric player who wanted to pick up upright and never did. When bought it it still had the sticker on the after length that upton uses to mark basses before they ship and the case was covered in dust and the bass look as if it never got played. I bought it as a backup bass to keep at home while I was in college so I have only played it about a month total since I bought it and it has only left my house a couple times. It is still in basically brand new condition and its not even really broken in yet, so if you are looking for an upton this is a perfect chance to buy one that has been around for a few years but needs someone to play it. I am selling it to turn my other bass into a removable neck so i can just have one bass that I can travel with.

The bass is in southwest PA, south of Pittsburgh.

Enough about the background and heres the details
    2009 Standard Hybrid
    Spirocore Mittel Strings
    Rev Solo Pickup
    Extended "solo" fingerboard.
    Upton Deluxe Bag
I can include a ingles stand if you want it.

The bass plays effortlessly and has room for the strings to go up or down. It actually still has the original sales receipt and papers in the pocket of the case. Some of the pictures make it look a little more "blueish" then it really is. The picture of the front is probably the best judge of the color of the bass. Asking $3250 with case, pickup, and stand.

Bump, if I get either a few people or one really interested person in Boston area I can try to get it up here. Also I still have the crate it was shipped to me in so that could also be an option but the buyer would be responsible for shipping/insurance cost.

Where in PA is it located?
I'm from rural PA, but live in Canada now and drive there semi-regularly.

A few people have messaged me that you can get a Upton standard hybrid for $3000 and I am aware of that but I have many reasons I feel this is worth more. First I paid $3500 for it from Upton a little under two years ago and since then I have played it very little. When I received it it was in great shape and still looks like a brand new bass. Also I put better strings on it then it came with. It comes with a bag and pickup which would add almost $500 if you were to order a standard hybrid from them right now. Another reason is it has the extended fingerboard and a lighter finish then the current standard hybrids which if you wanted either of these things you would have to start with the bohemian which starts at $3750. Also This bass was built before they started the standards are they are doing them now. Now they make a few plys and hybrids with their standard varnish and everything so they have them in stock with no buyer needed when they finish the bass. The reason they can keep the prices down is because they can streamline production and have a few of these basses available at a time. This bass, even though it is a "standard" was still built to order and is about equal to if you were to order a bohemian hybrid right now. Thats about the closest equivalent but even that isn't the same because the body pattern is different on this bass then their current standards or bohemians.
