Okay, I've seen a Katana or 2 in my day. I've owned a few also. The usually sounded Very Bright and Brittle. I just didn't click with them. They were always that Natural Flamed Maple, and just didn't have that Menacing Warwick Look. But I saw this Beauty, and thought Maybe this is worth checking out! Once I got it I played it Long and Hard. It was still on the Bright Side, so I put Coated Strings on her, and even tried some TI Jazz Flats. Both sounded Great! But now that I have that Wonderful BN-5 Dolphin everything has gone to the wayside. And I need some extra money for the new house. I might be interested in trades, but it would have to be Pretty Damned Special. (Trade Value $1500) A Non-Reverse T-Bird and some Cash might work! PM offers please.

Nicely Figured Ebony! Reminds me of Macascar Ebony. (Softer, Brown and Grainier)

You can Feel the Grain through the finish, Reminsint of the Taranis!
There is some wear in the finish, but the bass is Solid as The Rock it Plays!

Also the Preamp went out on this last year. While I was having my Custom SSI upgraded to an Aguilar OBP-3 I went ahead and had this one replaced with the same thing! It REALLY sounds alot better than the stock MEC unit. Cleaner highs, mids, and a Bass Knob that gets into the Mud!

Sadly the Stacked Knobs use different shaft sizes, so there are New Shiny knobs on the stacked Treble/Bass knobs.

OK, I believe in Full Disclosure. This bass has been played, and until it got to me, it did not have a case. A lot of the bumps won't photograph well. But there is the Back of the bass:

There is some light "Noodling" on the neck

Also the upper bouts have a little Mojo as well. But try as I might, it just doesn't show in the pics. I'll try in different light maybe...

This bass will ship in a RockCase (by Warwick) Flight Case.

$1250 gets this Mighty Warrior to your CONUS address. Add $100 for the rest of NAFTA. Sorry, no other international sales unless you have a USA address. Please keep all Comments, Questions, and Offers in the PM format.

MAN! You've got the Monsters, I tell you. Your Fortress is all fixed by the way. Also got it shimmed a bit so the strings aren't off-set anymore. That thing is playing like a god. Good luck sellin this one.

True, but the Black Strings bring out the Multi-Colored Ebony in the Boards. I put the TI Jazz Flats on for a gig this weekend. They sound HUGE!

Are you saying if it was the flamed maple variety you'd buy it?

I've been looking (very passively) for a Katana 5, but I'm just not into red. If it had the natural finish, I'd give it a serious thinking about.

Sent you a PM, whats the string spacing on this bass? Is it a narrow or broadneck warwick?
