I recently acquired this from a fellow TB'er. After having several Bongo HH models, I was interested in trying a H. It sounds much better than I expected but now have my eye on something else. You know how GAS is...

For sale is a now discontinued Sapphire Black USA made Music Man Bongo 5 H made on May 7, 2014. Single humbucker models are hard to come by for good reason. The pickup, located in the "sweet spot" is modern and lively. 3-band active EQ provides a wide range of tones and flexibility.

Bass itself is in excellent condition. No fret wear or major flaws. Only marks I could find were a small superficial scratch on the back about 3/4" long that I was unable to photograph and only noticed it in certain lighting, and a small chip off the bottom of the headstock. This is shown in the 9th photo. For full disclosure, the output jack was intermittent and crackled. It was lose so I tightened it and that seemed to fix it. I'm not sure if that's a permanent fix or will need to be addressed down the road.

The bass comes with its original hard shell case. The case has seen better days. The front and back are scratched and scuffed and it is cracked in 3 spots along the front. It does however protect the bass and is fully functional.

I have cracks in my MM case just like that... have seen others with the same affliction. Bummer. Wonder if Musicmans aware of it?

They probably get their cases from another company...

I've had several other EBMM cases crack along the bottom lip. Never this bad but it's water under the bridge at this point. Unless there is significant damage to the shipping box, the carriers will not cover it under insurance.
