Greetings. This is a great bass. Unfortunately, I got 2 basses in at once, and only one can stay, and the LPB Jazz with the birth-year body is going to be the one that is staying. Too bad, as I love ASAT basses, and this one plays like a dream. Gotta love the PLEK neck! Set-up can be as low as you want to go - fretwork is impeccable, and the bass is basically new, so the neck is perfect. I hesitate to use the over-used term "mint," but I can't find a mark, scratch, or ding anywhere. It's got Daddario Pro-Steels on it right now, and it sounds fantastic. Comes with the original G&L/G&G case, which has a couple of minor cosmetic scuffs on the exterior - no damage or scratches through Tolex.

    Key Stats:

    Body wood: alder
Body finish: Lake Placid Blue Metallic
    Neck: #8 G&L Modern Narrow C 1/2" nut width, 12" radius
Neck Wood: Quartersawn Maple with Rosewood Fingerboard
Neck Finish: Satin Clear, Body Color Headstock

$1100 shipped CONUS. I'm in CT, and I will likely be visiting NYC, Boston, and Maine in the coming weeks, if that's good for an in-person meet-up, which I always prefer. Discount for local pick-up, of course!

What a beauty. If only I hadn't just picked up a USA Reverend Rumblefish, I'd be all over this.

  8. I hate to be that guy but I will ask anyway. What does it weigh? I have been watching this bass for several days now and now that I have seen the photos near life size on my 43" monitor I think I'm in love!

@gjbassist, I'll try to have an accurate weight for you in the next 24 hours. I will say that ASAT basses tend not to be too heavy because of the smaller body & neck - it feels that way to me, anyway. I'll get it to a postal scale tomorrow at work.
