Is this the one that was for sale back in January or so by another TBer? Man, that's one of the prettiest basses I've ever seen.

This is one very sweet looking bass. Is it a 34" scale?

These basses are 34" scale, and play like a dream.

Here are some samples of the tasty tones produced by this bass.

Sold one bass this week, another is listed. I'm seriously considering this puppy. Might be time for a road trip up to Bass Central to actually play one of these, well they have a few Skylines in stock, but at least I can get a feel for the neck and sound. I was leaning towards another Sadowsky, but this would be a very different sound in the collection.
How would you describe the neck profile? More like a traditional Jazz or a P shape?

Mine feels a little thinner than a p and slightly wide. Something about this combo really works though. Feels very fast and comfortable without being a baseball bat or a toothpick. I was surprised that it felt so nice and that the bass is so versatile. If you look at it, the bridge pickup is in the p position and the neck is very far up. Mixing those gives you a lot of great tones and the hollowbody provides nice and noticeable overtones.

The neck on this bass is really comfortable:
    • 1.6" nut width (between J and P)
    • 0.8" depth at first fret and 0.89" at 12th fret (per Lakland specs)
    • Silky smooth satin finish

The Chi-Sonic pickups in this USA-made bass are humbuckers (warm, thick, clear tone, and NO HUM!)

The Chi-Sonic pickups in overseas-made Lakland Skyline models are single coils.
