Black limba body sides 5-piece walnut/maple neck All Tung oil finished Rosewood board Nickel low-wide frets 18V active/passive electronics J99A single coils Carvin case (nice!) ~9.5lbs I'm really a Stingray guy - so (ideally) I'd like to trade this toward a stingray. Putting "trade value" at around $800 (about $1,300 new). I can kick in a few dollars toward a nice Stingray. Also - open to other trade offers of equal or greater value. REDUCED ONE LAST TIME to $575 shipped (to cont USA) - Paypal accepted. Condition: 9.5 / 10 - one (tiny) fingernail mark above pickup (see pic) - some very slight marks on the bottom edge (see pic). REALLY A CLEAN bass! New Nickel XL's on her. MANY usable sounds in this bass! Here are the pics. {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Gotcha, np. Nice looking bass. I'll have to remember that build when I get another custom Carvin (stupidly sold my last one).
I keep trying basses (especially Carvins) - but always gravitate back to my Stingrays. I fell in love with the finish. Stingrays feel like home to me. Still looking around to see if I come across another brand that feels like home also - hence the potential interest in other trades.
Happened to play one last week (when I was buying locally bass cabinet and seller had one just like this with flats). I was shocked how commanding the tone was. Neck through adds lots of definition with balanced sound accros fretboard. Great instrument.
That's a cool bass - but I think I'll pass on that one. Always afraid of feeding back with a semi-hollow bass.
