SOLD 2015 Reverend Mercalli 5 FM

Discussion in 'For Sale: Bass Guitars' started by jmbjandfam, May 19, 2017.

  1. Price:
    650.00
    Strings:
    5
    Location:
    North Carolina
For sale is this beautiful Reverend Mercalli 5FM in Coffee Burst.

The 5 piece maple neck on this bass is awesome, smooth, comfortable and fast with a stunning vintage tint.

This particular bass weighs in at a very reasonable 9.4 lbs and balances well. The body has a nice binding and a comfortable forearm contour.

I just set this up with a brand new set of Dunlop SuperBrights Nickel 45-125 and it plays great. Has only been played in my smoke free home and at my only gig which is at church.

One of the things that is so impressive about these Mercalli's is their pickups. Reverse P Style in the neck position and MusicMan Style at the Bridge. Both sound great and powerful on their own plus they balance very well.

Volume, Tone and Pickup Pan controls. All Passive.

    Will ship in a nice Deluxe Padded Road Runner Gig Bag. 20170515_194708.jpg 20170515_194711.jpg 20170515_194723.jpg 20170515_194728.jpg 20170515_194732.jpg 20170515_220007.jpg 20170515_220013.jpg 20170515_220016.jpg 20170515_220024.jpg 20170515_220039.jpg 20170515_220045.jpg 20170507_205518.jpg 20170515_194700.jpg

I am selling most of my small collection to get back to basics and help my son, who is a music major, purchase a new trombone.

Asking $650.00 shipped in the CONUS. No international shipping and no trades unless you have a Shires Trombone you want to work a deal on!

    Thanks!

NoNoise, tubatodd and Dave Siff like this.
  2. This is a pretty good demo that features an identical bass as well as a couple of other Reverend models.

Hi, What is the string spacing at the nut?

  4. NUT
47mm width, Boneite 10 mm spacing

    BRIDGE
    String-Thru-Body or Top-Load, 19 mm spacing

  5. Here is an update on this. i didn't think 5/8" inch spacing at the bridge sounded correct so I measured it for myself both at the nut and the bridge. On both my Reverends, string spacing at the nut is 10mm and string spacing at the bridge is 19mm.

I'm not sure if Reverend has changed their specs or if the info on the website is incorrect.

Sorry for the confusion and i will edit my post above.

  6. Price drop to $675.00 shipped in the CONUS

I've got one of these and just wanted to say that these are great basses. Mine is my #1. One of the best passive 5s I've played, and great balanced powerful sound.

  8. Thanks and I agree! I've owned 3 and am only selling to raise cash for my son's musical endeavors.

I feel confident that whoever ends up with this one will love it.
